What size does a cleanout really need?

Cleanouts are deceptive: a three-bedroom house that looks manageable produces more volume than most kitchen remodels, because everything comes out — furniture, boxes unopened since the last move, the shelving and everything on it. Full estates earn the 30-yard. A garage, basement or one heavily-lived-in floor fits a 15 or 20. Describe the house on the quote form and we'll size it honestly; we'd rather get you the right can than the biggest one.

What if the family needs more time?

A lot of Boone County cleanouts follow a loss, a move to assisted living, or a closing date bearing down. Standard windows run 7 days; if the work needs longer we say what an extension costs up front and leave the box until it's done. Realtor needs it gone before photos Thursday? We pick up Wednesday. Tell us the real constraint and we build around it.

What can go in — and what can't?

• Yes: furniture, mattresses, rugs, clothing, books, kitchenware, shed and garage contents, old fencing and deck boards, renovation debris from a pre-listing refresh.
• No: paints, solvents, tires, batteries and refrigerants — Boone County Tox-Away days handle those. Appliances often can ride along if you flag them ahead.
